To build world class information systems quickly there needs
to be a master plan. The Strategic Integration Plan (SIP)
addresses human and technology integration issues up front.
Information technology is placed within the context of communications
patterns, workflow, and decision-making. Obstacles to success
are documented as key issues and resolved with management.
The overall enterprise infrastructure is an SIP product
that gives context and support for specific recommendations.
It consists of the business process infrastructure (the people
dimension) and the information infrastructure (the technology
dimension). The SIP allows management to evaluate broad
strategies and to adopt a consistent, yet flexible, course of
action. |
