Business Process Integration (BPI) is not a one-time event.
It is a continual program of refinement and evolution. It must
accommodate business change and increasing sophistication of
the organization in processing work. It addresses the organizational
and procedural aspects of change. The overall goal of BPI
is a shared vision - not confined to historical boundaries.
BPI deals with streamlining and accelerating workflows,
flattening organizational structures, redefining IS roles and
responsibilities, training users and management, and marketing
of change. This shared vision enables businesses to continually
monitor and manage their processes in real-time, resulting in
a successful, rapid response to changing market conditions. |
